Every summer at PMI is an opportunity to make music, make friends, and develop skills that will extend far beyond the rehearsal room or concert hall. The heart of the 2019 program are our Instrumental Workshops, flexibly designed for students of all levels to hone the technical and expressive skills needed to advance to the next level.

A PMI summer includes a comprehensive music curriculum—private lessons, chamber music, master classes, technical workshops, performances, and more. This summer, we debut the Festival Orchestra, a professional-level faculty ensemble, along with our brand-new OLA (Orchestral Learning Alliance) program, featuring Artist Faculty from the National Orchestral Institute+Festival.

PMI has programs for all instruments that play in a symphony orchestra, symphonic band, or jazz ensemble. Our programs range in duration from five days to two weeks. Depending on your area of study and audition, you may be eligible for more than one program, and students may apply for more than one program with the same audition.
