Detroit Chamber Winds & Strings: King David

King David (Le Roi David) is a neo-classic masterpiece composed in 1921 by the French composer, Arthur Honegger. Scored for 17 musicians and narrator, the work is a “dramatic Psalm” that tells the story of King David and his relationship to Saul. It will be performed by the 160-voice Western Michigan University Grand Chorus and Detroit Chamber Winds & Strings.
